Idea Boneyard

For Every Idea LLC not only recognizes that failed ideas are an important part of the innovation process; but they ought to be saved for posterity as well.  Accordingly, this idea boneyard is a case study of neat ideas that lack the team, business model, or funding necessary for success.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work - Thomas Edison.

Boneyard Idea 1:  Kayaking Lifestyle

Bottom Line: Here are the digital assets & link to a vendor that you can use to order your own bad whitewater merch.

Idea Origination Story: While drinking beers at a river take-out, my paddling crew enjoyed a good laugh at some recent antics of a regional river jester.  Afterwards, we thought it would be a funny idea to promote this individual with a t-shirt that lists his shameful accomplishments on the back.

It's a horrible idea, but if you want to encourage these antics with your own "Who the fuck is Johnny Schlesser" (
https://www.facebook.com/john.schlesser) t-shirt... who am I to stop you from following these three (3) steps.

Boneyard Idea 2:
Editable PowerPoint Cartoon about Reusable Web Standards

Picture
Bottom Line: Here is a funny joke template about out-of-date dinosaurs needing to evolve to a modern platform.  Meaning that, anyone with PowerPoint can modify this cartoon's visual and textual elements.

Idea Origination Story: I initially thought an established systems integrator was joking when they told me that designing a web portal with open, reusable web-frameworks was not ethical. At the time, they printed weekly diagrams for client meetings using Microsoft Office capabilities that reused an open-office XML web-framework.

They were adamant against modern digital standards in a way that resembled a cartoon I once saw about the demise of out-of-date dinosaurs "forgetting" to prepare for the rise of the ocean. Realizing both the humor and futility of this project, I excused myself from the project so that I could make
a version of that cartoon for my own amusement.

In my version of the cartoon, the
unprepared dinosaurs (on analogue island) are unknowingly using an open, reusable framework with-in PowerPoint to create a tremendous amount of paper trash instead of evergreen digital content.
